ralston27/04/2025 A Delightful Boutique BB This is a truly delightful Boutique Bed and Breakfast owned by Harvey (and his little dog Roxy). Everything about it is of an excellent quality. The rooms are beautifully furnished with everything required for a relaxing stay. The en-suite bathrooms are pristine, modern and with lovely soaps, etc. We stayed in St. Cuthbert and the bed and bedding were so luxurious. Breakfast on each morning of our three-day visit was delicious, cooked to perfection and with good quality ingredients. We cannot recommend St. Valery enough, and look forward to our next stay when visiting lovely Alnmouth. JoH15817/04/2025 A jewel in Northumbria’s crown St Valery is the most wonderful place to visit . Harvey the proprietor is such a friendly host and it really feels special walking through the door on arrival . Every aspect of the St Valery is first class . The rooms are beautifully appointed , spotless with high end quality bedding . So many little extra touches make your stay just that bit more special . Other visitors also commented on how much effort Harvey and his four legged friend Roxy put into making your stay a special experience . The breakfast was faultless and again only the best quality ingredients used . This is our second visit but will certainly not be our last . Tina B11/04/2025 Perfect weekend get-away Hubby and I stayed at St Valery for our wedding anniversary and it was perfect. The bed was the comfiest we've slept in (even better than our own) and the pillows - amazing, we are going to buy some for ourselves. Harvey, the owner, is a delight. We would definitely recommend a stay here. It's worth every one of its five stars and more. Alnmouth is a pretty village, perfect for a weekend get-away. We'd recommend a visit to the lovely Old School Gallery and Bistro 63 (which is also The Tea Cosy Tearoom in the daytime). And a short hop on the bus to Alnwick to visit Barters Bookshop. We were blessed with beautiful sunshine too. All in all, a perfect weekend. Janet L05/04/2025 Lovely place to stay This was such a lovely place to stay - a real gem. So convenient being in the high street but very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful decor. Immaculately clean, it smells lovely as soon as you walk through the front door. Very very comfortable beds. Nice choice of breakfast with cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit and a variety of cooked choices - had the full English one day and salmon and scrambled eggs the next and both were delicious. Harvey was so friendly and fun and immediately made us feel at home. Alnmouth was such a lovely pretty place to stay with plenty of nice walks and some decent pubs all within a minute or two from the accommodation. Just wished we’d stayed for longer than 2 nights. Would love to return someday. Alan B30/03/2025 A gem Perfect two night stay- for location , comfort and level of service, very much the personal touch for design.. excellent breakfasts. Rooms delightful. Thanks, Harvey. Alnmouth I a very pretty seaside port. Would recommend a visit out of season. Joanne136024/03/2025 Fantastic stay at St Valery From the moment we walked through the door of St Valery we knew we had found something so special. Our host, Harvey, ably assisted by his grande dame doggy, Roxy, was so warm and welcoming. The subtle scent of Neom wafted through the house which is spotlessly clean with every attention to detail. Our room (St Cuthbert) has a huge sleigh type bed and is extremely comfortable which ensured we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast choice is excellent and plentiful. Harvey is informative regarding the local area and supplied maps and walking books and was able to make recommendations for local places to eat en route. We could not have asked for more during our stay and highly recommend St Valery. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Alnmouth you won’t find anywhere better. Pamela D10/11/2024 Wonderful bed and breakfast in Alnmouth Excellent bed and breakfast . Harvey is a great host . The bedrooms and bathrooms are stylish and comfortable and breakfast was delicious . We were sorry that we were only staying 1 night on our way to Scotland. We managed a walk around Alnmouth which was also lovely and enjoyed a round of golf at the oldest 9 hole golf course in the Uk . . We will be back!! Jim C31/10/2024 Best in Alnmouth What a great stay from the moment Harvey the owner and Roxy his very friendly dog greeted us at the door until the moment we left it was exceptional. The quality of the room and comfort of the bed were of a very high standard; we had a great sleep and completed with a lovely breakfast full of local ingredients. We can’t wait to stay again vonny195623/10/2024 Brilliant boutique bed and breakfast in the heart of Alnmouth, close to friendly pubs and restaurant’s of quality. What an amazing guest house, loved all of it. Harvey and Roxy were soo welcoming and lovely, it was like staying with a close friend. He was a great host, providing best quality comfort in the room, the breakfast menu, and the local knowledge of places to go locally and further afield. Could not recommend more highly. Thank you Harvey, hope to come back to stay again. Kelvin J22/10/2024 A gem in Alnmouth Just returned from a long weekend at St Valery Boutique B&B in Alnmouth. I have travelled extensively in Europe and USA and can state without a doubt that this is amongst the best places I have stayed The rooms are comparable with any 5 star hotel . But the stars of the show is Harvey the proprietor and his dog Roxy, no request was too much trouble for Harvey to help with. We will definitely return and return.
